Hijab is a symbol of privacy and safety. Hijab is an Arabic word which means veil, curtain or cover. Hijab is worn by Islamic women and girls which is their religious obligation. Abaya is a loose ribbon like over-dress used especially by women in Arab Countries and Pakistan. “Abaya” covers the whole body except hands, feet and head where as “Hijab” covers the face also called veil.

The traditional color of the abaya is black but now the trend has been changed with the passage of time. Designers has designed many latest collection of abaya and hijab wearing ideas with different colors and styles which allure their personality more. The teaching of Hijab and Abaya are given by our Islam as said in Holy Quran;

“O Prophet, tell your wives and daughters, and the believing women, to cover themselves with a loose garment. They will thus be recognized and no harm will come to them”  (Quran  33:59)

Abaya and Hijab gives the women to feel safe and secure while going outside. Women worn hijab feels confident in society and can compete with the society. Many styles are introduced now in many types of fabrics like chiffon, silk, georgette and flowering fabrics also. Abayas are embellished with embroidery and art work.
