Pina Colada Recipe: Tropical Fruit Smoothie

Measurement of ice for our Pina Colada recipe can be difficult; Place frozen cubes in your measuring cup, due to differences between the ice cubes, you can be sure that accurate measure 2 cups. For an error-free method, first, add 1 cup cold water in a liquid measuring cup. Then add ice cubes one at a time.Once the water line reaches 2 cups, you know that there is exactly one cup of ice, drain the water and add ice in the blender.


2 cups ice

1 cup pineapple juice

1 cup white rum (optional)

½ cup cream of coconut

4 pieces of pineapple (for garnish)

4 maraschino cherries (for garnish)


1. Add ice, pineapple juice, rum, if desired and cream of coconut in a blender bowl.Blend on high speed until ice is crushed, the ingredients are combined and smooth drink, for about 30 seconds.
2. Pour into glasses. Serve with a slice of pineapple and cherry, if desired.
