Seventeen is a magazine for teenagers. It was first published in 1944 by Walter Annenberg’s Triangle Publications. News Corporation bought Triangle in 1988, and sold Seventeen to K-III Communications (later Primedia) in 1991. Primedia sold the magazine to Hearst in 2003. It is still in the forefront of the growing popularity competition. This magazine is mostly for young women ages 13-20. The competition is Cosmo Girl and many others. It was also the magazine in which the girl winning America’s Next Top Model would have the cover and a double page, this magazine participated in the program from cycle to cycle 7 and 12.
